About The Opportunity

Our Origin & Beyond team, based at our Micromine office in Almaty, are currently seeking a QA Engineer. In this role you will work on a wide range of projects to enhance our Micromine software suite.

As our Tester you will play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. You will work closely with the development and product teams, you'll be responsible for designing, executing, and refining test plans and cases, identifying and reporting bugs, and providing valuable insights to improve our software.

  • Design & execute test plans, create and maintain test cases & add new tests to the test case management systems.
  • Actively manage issues, testing and closing resolved issues, through JIRA issue tracking system.
  • Evaluate business and system requirements to identify areas that require testing.
  • Work closely with the Micromine Developers and other Micromine stakeholders to obtain knowledge and resources necessary to design and implement tests.
  • Work closely with Micromine Developers to ensure issues are resolved satisfactorily

About You

This role will appeal to someone who enjoys being challenged and is able to work through complex problems.

In terms of experience, this role would be ideal for someone who has a few years of testing experience.

Other key skills, experience, and qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software Tester, QA Engineer, Test Analyst or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development life cycles.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and testing frameworks.
  • Proficiency in automation testing, with manual testing as a plus.
  • Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken, is required
  • Mining experience or exposure is a nice to have.
