Principal Civil/Structural Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTIONWood (trading locally as WOOD KSS LLP) is currently looking for Principal Civil/Structural Engineer (KZ passport holders) to join our team in Atyrau/Almaty, Kazakhstan.RESPONSIBILITIES responsible for structural analysis, design, specification and services related to structures and foundations made of concrete and steel for pipe racks, pipe bridges, access stairs and platforms, buildings, etc. check calculations and designs by engineers and provide feedback to encourage them to improve their engineering skills provide input to Basis of Design, Design Reports and FEED studies prepare Job Packs and Material Requisitions signing of drawings & key documents produce CTR's as required carry out site surveys and site inspections as required carry out Author Supervision duties when required under general supervision, independently applies advanced engineering techniques, makes decisions on engineering problems and methods, and represents the organization in conferences to resolve important questions or to negotiate with key engineers and officials of other organizations provides technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers and is consulted extensively by associates and others provides mentoring and training to engineers will have demonstrated creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving engineering problems efficiently and economically confined space access i.e. vessels, columns and pits may be requested for inputs into technical bids should be able to evaluate vendors technical bid offers QUALIFICATIONS Degree in relevant Engineering field Proficient user of relevant software and calculation templates Work experience in the respective position no less than 7 years ABOUT USWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
