Investment Director, Metals

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Investments to lead strategic transactions in the metals & mining and oil & gas sectors, with a geographic focus on the CIS and Middle East. This role requires a professional with a strong track record of closed deals and a deep understanding of industrial value chains and sector dynamics.

You will be responsible for sourcing and executing M&A transactions, managing cross-functional teams, and driving value creation in portfolio companies.

• Lead end-to-end execution of M&A and strategic investment deals

• Manage deal structuring, negotiations, due diligence, and closing processes

• Build and maintain a pipeline of investment opportunities in the target sectors

• Provide strategic insights and operational guidance to portfolio companies

• Present investment cases and recommendations to the Investment Committee

• Collaborate with external advisors, legal counsel, and technical consultants

• Monitor industry developments, geopolitical trends, and macroeconomic risks

• Minimum 8 years of experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, private equity, or corporate M&A
• Proven track record of successfully closed transactions in metals & mining and/or oil & gas - deal sheet required
• In-depth industry knowledge and understanding of operational, commercial, and regulatory aspects of the sectors
• Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
• Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple complex workstreams and stakeholders
• Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus)
• Fluency in English and Russian
