HSE Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced HSE Engineer (Health, Safety, and Environment) for an upcoming project in Almaty, Kazakhstan. This role is critical in ensuring the well-being of all personnel and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs aligned with local regulations and company standards.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Lead and guide project teams, contractors, and subcontractors on HSE matters, fostering a strong safety culture.
• Coordinate incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of HSE activities.
• Monitor and report HSE performance metrics and compliance status to project management and senior leadership.
• Deliver HSE training and awareness programs to ensure understanding of policies and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ASP/CSP) is highly desirable.
• Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Fluency in English and Russian; Kazakh proficiency is a plus.
