Our Development team creates and builds our relationships with merchants. Together, we've helped big brands, local stores and neighborhood restaurants do over €15 billion's worth of business through our platform. We're constantly launching new cities and products, so there are always new opportunities to expand your skills and progress your career. 

We are now looking for a Restaurant Development Manager to join our team in Almaty. In this role, you'll manage and grow relationships with restaurant partners, helping them succeed on Wolt while driving business growth and business development in the West Kazakhstan region.

What you'll be doing

As a Restaurant Development Manager you'll lead a team of two specialists and take ownership of a key restaurant portfolio within your market. Your mission is to drive partner performance, revenue growth, and long-term collaboration on the Wolt platform. You'll act as both a strategic advisor to your team and a trusted partner to our restaurant network — ensuring excellence in execution and continuous improvement.

Day-to-day in this role you'll:
  • Manage overall restaurant portfolio performance to meet commercial KPIs such as revenue and portfolio growth through sales and customer success strategies
  • Work closely together with the Marketing team to plan and execute campaigns
  • Monitor and improve operational KPIs for restaurants in your portfolio
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with restaurant decision-makers, helping them optimize menus, pricing, and promotional strategies
  • Upsell and implement new products and services such as Wolt+, Ads, promotions
  • Renegotiate and expand commercial agreements to increase long-term partner value
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team, setting clear performance goals and supporting their professional growth & West market growth
  • Host business reviews, market visits 
  • Prepare analyses and presentations for key discussions and reviews
  • Use data-driven insights to inform commercial strategies, negotiations, and decision-making
Our humble expectations 
  • Have 2-3 years of proven experience from previous account management, business development or similar role, ideally in marketplaces, tech, or hospitality.
  • Are used to high-performance, high-expectation cultures.
  • You are structured, detailed, and service-oriented
  • Strong analytical experience and specific knowledge of analytical dashboards - for example, Looker or Power BI.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt tone to suit the audience.
  • Take a hands-on, proactive approach to getting stuff done and seeing things through.Are entrepreneurial, innovative and good at solving problems.Can adapt quickly in a rapidly changing market.
  • You plan ahead and have structure to your work - you develop strategies for how to succeed in your markets and go hunting with purpose and planning.
  • Have fluent and persuasive written and spoken communication skills in Kazakh, English and Russian
  • Demonstrated experience from sales is a plus.
