DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supports the Head of the Department of Metallurgy in his role. Manage the internal and external testwork for the different stages of studies according to the study guide. Must understand geometallurgical mapping. Provide the operating cost estimate and metal recovery for the resource and reserve statement. If applicable provide the capital cost for the conceptual, preliminary economic assessment and scoping study. Provide the sample selection criteria to the exploration geologist for sample selection. Continuously update the GAP analysis of the different projects according to the study guide. Must have a good understanding of the Altynalmas Study Guide

QUALIFICATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of science degree in extractive metallurgy or metallurgical engineering. Holder of master’s degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering will be given preference. Must have at least five years of work experience. At least 3 years in process operation and 2 years in project studies. Must have managed at least one project in the pre-feasibility or feasibility study level. Must understand the operation of process recovery plants; example given comminution, classification, gold leaching process, gravity concentration, flotation, and tailings management. Must have knowledge in technical report writing. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project) Must be able to communicate in English, oral and written (e.g. e-mail) Must have a good moral character and work ethic.

Work environments
