BACKGROUND
Established in 1935, the airport initially operated under the Kazakh Civil Aviation Department until 1990; subsequently, on April 26, 1991, it underwent a reorganization, being officially renamed "Alma-Ata Airport." The pivotal transformation occurred in 1994 when it evolved into OJSC "Almaty Airport," a transition that culminated in its current legal successor, JSC "Almaty International Airport."
Marking a significant milestone in 2020, Almaty International Airport has become a part of the TAV Airports. TAV Airports is a success story in the aviation industry, written with know-how, experience and creativity.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic initiatives for the PMO to enhance project delivery, efficiency, and effectiveness across all projects. Oversee the management of Civil Works and Project Management departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and standards. Provide leadership and direction to department heads, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Ensure the successful planning, execution, and completion of projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints. Establish and maintain project management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices to ensure consistent project delivery. Monitor project performance, analyze metrics, and drive continuous improvement to optimize project outcomes and resource utilization. Collaborate with senior leadership to align project strategies with overall business objectives and growth plans. Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet project demands and organizational priorities. Oversee risk management strategies, ensuring potential issues are identified, mitigated, and communicated appropriately. Develop and manage budgets for the PMO and related departments, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability. Foster relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies, to support project success and compliance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role overseeing Civil Works and Project Management functions. Proven track record in managing large-scale projects and leading cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Strong understanding of project management methodologies, civil engineering principles, and best practices. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic and results-oriented approach. Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and performance metrics analysis. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
