Job DescriptionThe Department of Mathematics in the School of Sciences and Humanities invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position. The area of specialization is open. This is a three-year renewable appointment, with the possibility of a longer-term contract based on performance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research and pursue external funding opportunities
- Teach two courses per semester at undergraduate and graduate levels
- Supervise student research projects at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- Contribute to service and governance activities at the department, school, and university levels, including curriculum development
We are seeking candidates who meet the following criteria:
- A Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics from a recognized international institution
- A strong track record of research and scholarly publication
- University-level teaching experience
- Demonstrated success in mentoring students
- Excellent communication skills in English
- A collegial and inclusive approach to collaboration and service
