Office of Sustainable Development
Job DescriptionProvide operational support and participate in the implementation of campus sustainability projects, including data collection and processing, preparation of reporting and informational materials, execution of organizational and administrative tasks, and assistance in coordinating interactions with student communities, university departments, and external partners.
QualificationsEducation requirements (level, specialization, licenses, professional certifications, etc.):
1) Higher education in natural or technical sciences, social sciences, economics, finance, environmental management, or related fields;
2) additional education or specialization in the field of sustainable development is an advantage.
Work experience requirements:
1) A minimum of 1 year of experience;
2) experience in participating in the implementation of projects, programs, or initiatives in the fields of sustainability, environmental protection, innovation, or related areas.
Additional InformationKnowledge:
1) fundamental principles and concepts of sustainable development, as well as key global trends in this field;
2) knowledge of international standards and initiatives in sustainable development;
3) understanding of environmental management principles and the basics of implementing sustainable practices in organizations;
4) knowledge of the main principles and standards for developing strategic documents and reports in the field of sustainability;
5) familiarity with national and international regulatory frameworks in sustainability, ecology, and environmental protection;
6) proficiency in MS Office programs;
7) fluency in English, Kazakh, and Russian.
Skills:
1) project support and coordination – ability to organize and oversee the implementation of sustainability projects, track deadlines, and collaborate with stakeholders;
2) data analysis – ability to collect and interpret data for monitoring the implementation of initiatives and assessing their effectiveness;
3) communication – effective interaction with colleagues, students, partners, and university departments;
4) teamwork – coordinating efforts with colleagues and assisting in the execution of sustainability-related tasks;
5) financial literacy – understanding the basics of budgeting and expense control within projects;
6) technology – knowledge of tools for data analysis and project management, with the ability to apply them to optimize work processes;
7) reporting – preparation of reports and presentations on the implementation of sustainability initiatives.
Recruitment and selection process
