Intermediate Test Engineer Automation

We invite a talented, detail-oriented Test Engineer with Python automation experience to join our team. You'll play a key part in ensuring top-notch software quality for a trusted leader in the Point of Sale industry. You'll work closely with our multinational development team to design and implement automated tests, helping deliver reliable, high-quality software experiences to retail and restaurant businesses and their customers worldwide.

Is that you?

• 2+ years of experience in test automation using Python and pytest
• Solid hands-on experience with Selenium and Appium for UI testing
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes
• Proficiency with Git for version control
• Ability to understand and work with complex testing documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Intermediate+ English level
• Proactivity, quick learning ability, and excellent communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams

Desirable:

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins
• Understanding of Docker and containerized environments
• Working knowledge of AWS
• Experience with MongoDB

Key responsibilities and your contribution

In this role, you'll be an essential contributor to the development process, with responsibilities including test planning, test case design, and test automation using industry-leading tools and frameworks.

• Write and maintain automated tests using Python and pytest
• Develop and support UI tests with Selenium and Appium
• Extend and maintain the test automation framework
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and report bugs
• Re-run failed tests and monitor build stability
• Maintain and update test-related documentation
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and other teams across the SDLC
• Work with the team's backlog and participate in daily meetings and other agile ceremonies
• Work with Git for version control and participate in code reviews
• Understand and contribute to CI/CD processes
• Stay up to date with new tools, frameworks, and testing best practices
